Introducing « ECHO »
« ECHO » is a new radio station exploring the spatial qualities of sound, live acts of communication and ideas of broadcast via artists’ works and artists talking. Curated by Anna Clifford, Katherine Finerty, Dunya Kalantery and Angelica Sule, the « ECHO » online archive incorporates … all silent but for the broadcast … ! eight days of radio broadcasts first aired during graduation exhibition Show RCA 2014, following the Curating Contemporary Art MA exhibition … all silent but for the buzzing … (18-26 June 2014). The « ECHO » residency at The Function Room included an exhibition (with works by Amina Abbas-Nazari, Gabriel Birch, David Gibson, Freya Gabie, Katarina Hruskova, Roy Immanuel, Jana Koelmel, Vesta Kroese), listening stations, and recording space. Blaithin Mac Donnell, Daniel Michael Clark, Susanna Davies-Crook performed on 11 December 2014.
